Thibadeau Profile - who we are
Thibadeau Co. was started in
1949 as a partnership of four men incorporated as Thibadeau Shaw and Brannen.
Bill and John Thibadeau had been insurance salesmen and represented several
homebuilders in the post war building boom. They graduated into the real estate
brokerage business representing builders in new home sales. From there they
began developing land into new home subdivisions, also handling the sales of
the new homes.
Over the years Thibadeau Co. has been an industry leader in land sales, land
development, selling new and resale homes and small office development. The
people at Thibadeau have made major contributions to the development of the
Dekalb Board of Realtors and the Metro Listing Service. A basic Thibadeau
philosophy is that an improvement to the community or industry, is an
improvement to the company.
LEONARD THIBADEAU is a Dekalb County native. He is a graduate of Centre
College of Kentucky where he majored in Psychology. He was reeled back into the
real estate fold in 1978 when he got his salepersons license. In 1978 he earned
his associate brokers designation. In 1987 he took over the position of Designated
Broker from his father.
He is a REALTORŪ dedicated to his family, his community and his profession. He
is a former President of the DeKalb Board of REALTORSŪ, also serving on the
Board of Directors of Dekalb and the Georgia Association.
